  1. Looks lovely as always, especially the chicken-bun with it’s crisp surface. I love that you often use leftovers in your bento (or quick foods), I think that’s what bento is all about :)

  2. Thank you! Ah, I’ve been busted! ;-) I figure I spend enough time cooking our regular meals, why not maximize the payout? Many Japanese-lang. bento cookbooks talk about how to repurpose leftovers (give them a makeover, turn them into a somewhat different dish), so that’s what I’m aiming for next — not just dishing out the same thing again.

  3. Sorry for the long time in answering, thenowhere! I’ve been doing some research about picky eaters, and this book is getting good reviews: The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids Favorite Meals

Off the top of my head, I’d say to think of the fun aspect (finger foods, dipping, assemble-it-yourself), and puree vegetables then put them into soups and sauces — don’t leave them in recognizable form.
